The dynamic growth in the number of personal, laptop and handheld computers and the rise of the internet with its links to computers the world over threatens to make fraud committed by remote computer access a near-pervasive crime. Passwords, dial-back modems and other obstacles to unauthorized entry into computer networks have been outflanked by next generation software and shifts in connectivity patterns. This places companies and individuals with inadequate protection against computer intrusion in considerable jeopardy. The Guidry Group consultants are experts in their own right in evaluating computer network security. Computer Forensics/ Data Recovery
Network Security Controls Review This service provides an in-depth review of a client's security controls as implemented on a sample set of critical systems such as firewalls, routers, and servers. Data collected directly from these systems is analyzed to determine where security vulnerabilities exist. Network Security Control Reviews are conducted from within the client's facilities and provide the client with information concerning their actual vulnerability to threats from both internal and external sources. This is a less rigorous review than the Network Vulnerability Assessment.
Telephony Sweep for Modems This service provides a snapshot in time of the client's currently deployed voice, fax, and data lines. Using publicly available and privately held scanning tools, this service identifies authorized or unauthorized faxes, modems, and remote access software packages on the client's telephone network and the potential vulnerabilities associated with those devices and products. Deliverables for this service include an executive summary, management recommendations, technical recommendations, and supporting documentation.
Telephony Assessment and Penetration Building on information obtained through dial-up scans, this service
attempts to exploit vulnerabilities associated with unauthorized modems
and remote access packages. Dial-up assessment and penetrations provide
the client with detailed information concerning their susceptibility to
attacks through existing telephone lines. Information reported includes
systems penetrated, what account/password combinations were broken, and
ability to conduct second-level exploitation of compromised systems.
